Globalization can be described as a process by which the people of the world are unified into a single society and function together.  This sounds like a great development, right?  What do you think about Globalization?  Can you think of and describe some positive or negative aspects of Globalization? (Hint: language, business, education, environment, culture, local economies etc.) 

Has Barack Obama’s presidency changed your feelings about being American or your view of the United States?  If so what is it about him or what has he done that has changed this view or feeling?

People all over the world celebrate different occasions on different days for different reasons.  There are holidays for religious or patriotic occasions, or sometime, just for fun.  Name a popular celebration in your country?  Why is it important to you or other people in your country?

The world is getting “smaller” and places that used to seem far away- don’t seem as far away anymore.  Can you name ways in which things, ideas, or people from different affect you and your neighborhood?
